Analogue film portrait experience - In Edinburgh

Portraits on film offer a uniqueness in our digital world. Capturing a likeness on film feels authentic and real and tells a story about a person or a business that says they value creativity, craftsmanship and collaboration.

The nature of film photography means that sessions are more intentional. The craft requires me to understand tone, composition, lighting and pose, as well as in depth technical knowledge of film photography to realise a series of images. In rejecting the digital photography world of fast paced sessions and mass produced images we focus on images being scarce, precious and crafted. The aim is to capture honest portraits of yourself artistically and purposefully. For you that means the images have a meaningful personal value and create a lasting experience of the session.

The session takes place in Edinburgh and lasts up to 2 hrs. We aim to produce 5 images from locations in Edinburgh.

Sessions are either black and white or colour, never both together. Restricting ourselves to only one gives these sessions intention and focus on the core aesthetic of the images.

The final images are delivered digitally from the scanned negatives. Prints are available on request for an additional cost. Enquire for more information.
